Carstore Auction takes the step into Europe

Since its launch in 2019, Hedin Auction has experienced strong growth in vehicle auctions. Now the service is taking the next step in its development – as Hedin Mobility Group invests in Carstore, its dedicated platform for used cars, the auction site is changing its name to Carstore Auction.

Under the new name, Carstore Auction offers a wide range of used cars from a variety of car brands, available for bidding by both small and large car dealers. The platform has received an extensive upgrade – both technically and visually – and is designed to make vehicle trading as smooth and secure as possible. The new website has been developed by Hedin IT and marks the start of a planned expansion into Europe.

The updated service is first launched in Sweden and Norway, but all cars put up for auction will also be displayed on a common EU site, which will function as a unified portal for the entire European market.

With the launch, Carstore aims to broaden its customer base across Europe while continuing to improve the service's features based on user needs. The ambition is to create Europe's leading marketplace for car auctions.

"With Carstore Auction, we want to offer a simple and reliable auction solution for the entire European market," says Peter Lampret, CEO of Carstore. "We have taken customer feedback into account and are proud to now be able to reach a larger audience. The platform is developed in-house and we will continue to invest in improvements to both performance and functionality over the coming year."

The new EU site will serve as a central meeting place for vehicle auctions in Europe, which means that users will have access to a larger vehicle range and more opportunities to conduct cross-border transactions. "We are convinced that Carstore Auction strengthens our market position and provides our customers with even better value," concludes Lampret.
